Like many of you who may be visiting my site, I have spent much of my life as an educator. As we all know, teachers do not teach for the love of money, but rather for the intrinsic reward of inspiring others and quite possibly, making an impact on a student’s world. Despite the feeling of achievement I experienced in the world of academia, I suddenly realized that my retirement years were approaching, and I was not in the financial position to feel comfortable.

As you are doing now, I started to seek out opportunities that would enable me to continue my career as an educator, but also supplement my current income with an online business opportunity that I could count on in the future. My name is Jaleh, and as a single mother, I returned to graduate school to earn a Ph.D. in Multicultural Distance Higher Education.  While I absolutely love academic research and the development of  distance learning curriculum for culturally inclusive learners,  it became quite clear that a secondary income would be necessary to repay my graduate school loans. It was at this juncture that I began to use my educational skills to research a home-based business opportunity to supplement my current income and ease my financial burden.

My skills as an educator were quickly put to in my Internet marketing endeavors. My grasp of proven online strategies were only enhanced with the tools that years of teaching had honed. My personal interest in global social change has inspired me to contribute  web-based content to advocate for education and economic development of refugee women and children in developing countries.

While I am  still able to manage a local teaching schedule, I also have the expanded opportunity to educate aspiring entrepreneurs to build and maintain their own home-based business. One benefit of an online business is to truly enjoy life outside of the modern day job constraints. In an effort to  work hard at both my careers, I still manage to enjoy the scenic Coastal Californian lifestyle with my son, Kamyar and our Siberian Huskies. Living near the ocean provides a natural backdrop where we can enjoy life to its fullest .
